No Display or very Dull display

One of the most common calls we receive is for dull or dark displays. You may look at your screen and it looks as if the light has gone out, but you can still see the image. Sometimes you have to look very carefully at the screen, you may just detect a faint image.

Backlight problem? If you have then don't worry its not your screen its just your inverter.

When you plug an external monitor to the back of your laptop you will see a perfect screen displayed externally.  ( hopefully your onboard graphics card is not broken.)

Has your backlight suddenly gone out ? Has the tube just died?. The chances are the backlight is working perfectly but your inverter is not working correctly. Backlights rarely have problems, Inverters just die quite often. In some cases your tube may need changing.
